The blue jay and the chestnut.

A friend had told me of a particular tree where blue jays liked to congregate to eat chestnuts that were in the tree and those that had fallen to the ground. So naturally when the time arrived in October I watched carefully and indeed, plenty of blue jays appeared. These birds are very loud and most interesting to watch. I positioned myself near the tree and I was focusing mainly on chestnuts that were on the ground. One fellow was busy eating these chestnuts and as I followed him I was able to take some good pictures of it eating them.
