The downy woodpecker.

This is my first picture taken in January 2014. This woodpecker is the smallest and tamest of the eastern forests. Easily recognizable to its red patch at the back of the head for males and its short stubby bill.

Canon T2i, Canon zoom lens 75-300 mm, iso 800, f/8, 1/500 sec.
