Tree sparrows.


This picture was taken in early May. I had often seen these swift birds darting in the skies, catching insects. Taking pictures of them is not easy as they are sparrow size and they are always on the move. In this case, I stumbled on this pair near some branches. They were near enough to me that I could snap a couple of pictures before they left. They are the first of the swallows to reappear in the Spring  and they can be found throughout North America.
