Purple finches at the feeding station.

This picture was taken in early February. Purple finches are very common at feeding stations. They love sunflower seeds. These birds are not really purple, but more raspberry, especially the males. I was able to get quite close to them as they are not afraid of humans close to them. But if a runner comes by or a pack of runners off they fly away but only to come back a few seconds later.
