Female cardinal at the feeding station.


I love cardinals with their bright colors. They are truly spectacular birds. Now the males are more spectacular with red all over but the females are interesting as well, especially as they seem to exhibit more than a single color. Throughout the winter these birds readily come to feed at the feeding stations in the park, and are not shy even of going on the ground to eat the seeds that have fallen.
