Common redpoll.


This bird is quite tame and will readily let you approach it. It has a distinctive red patch on the top of the head and males have a pink breast. I had no problems taking pictures of these birds as they like to eat at feeders. In this case, I followed one of the birds to a secluded area and was able to take a side-view of a male.
