The downy woodpecker.


I will admit that I am not totally happy with this picture; the background is simply awful. I admit it. And yet, it is one of the clearest pictures of the downy woodpecker that I have. I was very close to it but did not choose well my angle to take the pictures. But of course, when you have a cloudy  grey sky there is only so much that you can do with it. Yes, you can crop alot, but in my case I wanted to include most of the bird.
