The Danford iris.

As I was now able to walk everywhere in the botanical garden, I was able to walk in an area called the Alpine area, where often one can find the first flowers of Spring. And there, I saw the Danford iris, one of the first flowers  to come up. This iris is of a yellow color and has the peculiarity of being resistant to hard freezes and late winter cold snaps. They can come in several colors, including blue, violet, purple, maroon and bi-colored varieties.

Canon XTI, Canon zoom lens 75-300mm, iso200, f/7.0, 1/400sec.
