April and May are the best months to view tulips, even if this year because of our crappy weather we are at least one week behind in the sprouting of plants. I always take pictures of tulips at this time of the year but I try to look inside the tulip for nice colors and interesting patterns. In this picture i loved the mix of colors, between the red and yellow as well as the shadows made by the inside of the flower. As it was windy I had to use a fast shutter speed to get everything nice and clear.
